"Each piece carries
the weight of centuries."
Ormecia was founded upon a singular belief: that the most profound objects ever created by human hands deserve more than a transaction. They deserve a reckoning. We do not simply sell antiques — we restore their rightful place in the narrative of civilisation, connecting each artifact with a collector worthy of its legacy.
Our curators work with the world's leading archivists, metallurgists, and art historians to ensure every piece in the Ormecia collection arrives with complete, verifiable provenance documentation — spanning from its creation to its current moment of acquisition.

Lot 0031 · French Empire
Paris, c. 1774 · Attrib. to Pierre-Philippe Thomire
Acquired from a private château in the Loire Valley, this exceptional ormolu and patinated bronze mantle clock bears all hallmarks of the Royal Manufacture period. Its movement, signed by the horologist Berthoud, has been conserved to full working condition. A document chain links this piece to the household of the Duchess of Orléans, establishing one of the most complete provenances in Ormecia's modern history.
The Ormecia Method
Our international network of scholars, estate curators, and auction specialists surface objects of exceptional rarity from private collections, dormant estates, and institutional deaccessions across five continents.
Every artifact undergoes metallurgical analysis, dendrochronology, pigment spectroscopy, and X-ray fluorescence examination — methods reserved for the world's foremost museum institutions.
Provenance investigators document the complete ownership chain — from commission or excavation through every subsequent collection, auction, and private transfer — creating an irrefutable historical record.
Acquisition is conducted through our Private Client Service — a discreet, white-glove transaction process including independent legal transfer, customs clearance, and specialist installation services.

Ormecia does not merely sell objects — they restore one's relationship with history. The provenance documentation for the Tang dynasty horse I acquired was more thorough than anything I have encountered in forty years of collecting.
I have worked with the great auction houses of London and New York. None approach the discretion, scholarship, and singular aesthetic sense that defines every interaction with Ormecia. They are in a category of their own.
The Mughal court dagger arrived within museum-standard transit casing, with a 47-page provenance dossier. This is the standard I expect of cultural stewardship. Ormecia sets an entirely different precedent.
Authenticity Guaranteed
Every artifact in our collection carries an Ormecia Authentication Certificate — a legally binding document issued after a minimum 90-day verification process conducted by our independent panel of international scholars.
